Crafted Call can send notifications about submissions, reviews, exhibition updates, and organizational announcements. Customize your notification settings so you receive only the information you need.
Email vs. In-App Notifications
Crafted Call uses two notification channels:
Email Notifications - Messages sent to your email address. Useful for staying informed while away from the platform.
In-App Notifications - Messages displayed in the Crafted Call dashboard. Appear as badges on your profile icon and in a notification center.
Most notification types can be delivered via either channel (or both). You control the delivery method for each notification type.

Configuring Notification Delivery
For each notification type, choose how you're notified:
Email Only - Receive email notifications, no in-app alert
In-App Only - See notification in the dashboard only
Email & In-App - Receive both email and in-app notifications
Off - Disable this notification type
Tip: Use "Email & In-App" for critical notifications (reviews assigned, submissions received). Use "In-App Only" for updates you can check periodically (campaign summaries, status changes).
Digest vs. Individual Notifications
By default, similar notifications are grouped into digest emails to avoid notification fatigue:
Individual Notifications - Each submission, review, or event generates its own email immediately.
Daily Digest - Similar notifications are collected and sent once per day (morning, 6:00 AM).
Weekly Digest - Notifications grouped into one email per week (Monday, 9:00 AM).
Off - Disable digest notifications for this type.
Toggle between formats per notification type:
Click the notification type
Select digest frequency
Choose delivery time (if applicable)
For example:
New submissions: Individual email (urgent)
Team member updates: Daily digest (informational)
Campaign summaries: Weekly digest (analytical)
Managing Email Frequency
Galleries that send frequent campaigns or have many team members may experience notification overload. Manage this by:
Changing Digest Settings - Switch critical notifications to daily digests instead of individual emails.
Disabling Less Important Types - Turn off notifications you don't need (e.g., "Review period starting" if you review frequently).
Selecting In-App Only - For administrative updates that don't require immediate attention, use in-app notifications.
Best practice: Start with all notifications enabled, then disable as needed. It's easier to stop receiving notifications than remember which ones you disabled.
Unsubscribe from Specific Notification Types
Each email includes an unsubscribe link for that notification type. Clicking the link disables that notification without affecting others.
To re-enable later:
Go to Notification Preferences
Toggle the notification type back on
Unsubscribe links in campaign emails are different—they unsubscribe you from marketing emails only, not transactional notifications.
Notification Timing
Configure when you receive notifications:
Quiet Hours - Disable email notifications during your off-hours (e.g., 6:00 PM–9:00 AM). In-app notifications still appear, but email delivery waits until quiet hours end.
Timezone - Set your timezone to receive notifications at consistent local times. Used for digest delivery times and deadline notifications.
Business Day Only - Receive email notifications only Monday–Friday. Weekend notifications are queued until Monday morning.
To configure timing:
Go to Notification Preferences > Timing
Set quiet hours, timezone, and business day preferences
