How to Find and Browse Calls for Artists

Finding the right calls for your work is one of the most important parts of your Crafted Call experience. Whether you're looking for gallery exhibitions, residencies, or competitions, Crafted Call makes it easy to discover opportunities that match your practice.

Browse All Calls

1. Click Browse Calls from the main navigation menu
2. You'll see a list of all active calls organized by deadline (nearest deadline first)
3. Click any call card to view details: submission requirements, fees, gallery information, and deadlines

Filter by Your Interests

Use the filter panel on the left side of the Browse page to narrow down calls:

By Medium

Select one or more artistic mediums that apply to your work (painting, sculpture, photography, etc.). The results will show calls that accept your mediums.

By Location

Filter by region, country, or specific cities. This is helpful if you prefer local opportunities or want to target specific regions.

By Deadline

See only calls closing within the next month, next three months, or custom date range. This prevents you from missing fast-approaching deadlines.

By Call Type

Some calls are for exhibitions, others for residencies, grants, or competitions. Filter by the type of opportunity you're interested in.

By Fee

Filter to see only free calls, or calls with submission fees below a certain amount.

Tip: Combine multiple filters to find the most relevant calls. For example: "Photography + New York + Next 30 Days + Free" will show you all free photography calls in New York closing soon.

Save Calls to Your Watchlist

When you find a call that interests you, click the Save button (usually a heart or bookmark icon) on the call card or detail page. This adds the call to your Saved Calls list.

Why save calls?

• Keep track of opportunities you're interested in
• Avoid losing track of calls with far-off deadlines
• Access your saved calls from your Dashboard anytime
• Plan your submissions for the month

To view your saved calls, click Saved Calls in the main menu or from your Dashboard.

Some calls are from galleries you might want to follow. Click Follow on a gallery's profile to:
