Artist Bio
Write a brief bio about yourself and your artistic practice. Think of this as a 100–200 word introduction.
What to include:
- Your artistic focus (e.g., "I create abstract oil paintings exploring the intersection of nature and urban design")
- Your experience level (emerging, established, etc.)
- Any notable achievements, exhibitions, or residencies
- What drives your work
This gives galleries insight into who you are before they see your artwork.
Profile Photo
Upload a professional headshot or photo of yourself. This humanizes your profile and makes galleries more likely to remember you.
Recommendations:
- Use a clear, well-lit photo
- Show your face clearly
- Avoid filters or heavy editing
- Keep it professional (even if your work is unconventional)
Artistic Mediums
Select the primary mediums you work with—painting, sculpture, digital art, photography, printmaking, mixed media, and more.
- Click Edit Mediums
- Check all that apply to your work
- Drag to reorder them (most prominent medium first)
- Save your changes
Galleries filter by medium when searching for artists. Including the right mediums helps you appear in their searches.
Specialties and Focus Areas
Tell us what your work is about. This might include:
- Subject matter (landscape, portraiture, abstraction)
- Themes you explore (social justice, environmental, identity)
- Style or movement (contemporary, traditional, experimental)
- Any specific niches (figurative sculpture, hand-bound books, etc.)
